Thomas Jefferson Bunn

Thomas Jefferson Bunn, age 91, of Broken Bow, OK passed away December 22, 2022.  He was born the son of Cullen Bunn and Berth Lillian Bunn (Vandiver) on September 10, 1931 in Holly Creek, OK.

Thomas served with Law Enforcement for 31 years and had worked as a custodian for Broken Bow Middle School.  He loved music as he began playing at 9 years old and since played with Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys.  Bob bought Thomas his first pair of shoes.  Thomas toured with Hank Thompson and played with his boys, along with numerous other groups in the country.  The last group being Ricky Loving and The Backstreet Band.

Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Melba Lynn Stewart Bunn; sons, Tommy B. Bunn, and Lowell “Gene” Bunn; 7 brothers and sisters; granddaughter, Derinda Bunn; great-granddaughter, Kelsie Bunn.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandy Johnson, and Tim Rankins; special daughter-in-law, Debbie Bunn; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
