Thomas Elvin Sullivan Obituary

Thomas Elvin Sullivan was born on December 16, 1951, to James E and Faye (Chapman) Sullivan in Grants, New Mexico. Tommy passed from this life on July 3, 2022, at his home in Broken Bow, OK.


Tommy was a log truck driver for 45 years, working with his dad until Elvin’s retirement in 1997.  He was affectionately known as “Little Truck” by all his fellow logging friends. Tommy had a love of Western Swing music, namely Bob Wills and was often teased for being born in the wrong generation. Another favorite was Merle Haggard. Tommy was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Germany during the Vietnam War.


Tommy and Carol were married on June 10, 1983, in Paris, TX. They just recently celebrated 39 years of marriage.


He was preceded in death by his mother Faye, his father Elvin, and a son Kevin Burke.


Tommy leaves behind his wife Carol of the home and one daughter Shelley Cobb and her husband Phillip W. Cobb, Jr. of Whitesboro, TX, and their children Cayden and Cortlyn Cobb, and one great-grandchild Jolene Adams. Two sisters, Lynna Kay Sullivan of Bethel, Ok and Rene Baggs and her husband Hank of Tulsa, OK. Stepmother Melba Sullivan of Pickens, OK; Nephews and nieces Brian Stovall and wife Erica, T.J. Stovall and wife Amanda, Mindy Thompson and husband Johnny, and Kayla Rabe and husband Matthew. 10 great nieces and nephews Kristin Layton, Bryce, Braden and Braddock Stovall; Shelby, Nate and Sam Stovall; Hunter, Cooper and Emersyn Thompson, one great- grandnephew James Gray, and a host of family and friends.
