Tony Dewayne Treat

Tony Dewayne Treat, 54, of Broken Bow entered his heavenly home on July 12, 2020 after a long heroic battle with Multiple System Atrophy.

The son of Coy and Nina (Jewell) Treat, Tony was born on March 8, 1966 in DeQueen, Arkansas. He graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1984. Tony worked various places throughout the area including Passmores Grocery, Tucker Appliance, and Bailey’s Lumber CO. It was in 2008 he began working in the Broken Bow Public School District in maintenance. Tony quickly became “Papa” or “Mr. Tony” to so many children at Dierks Elementary. He would greet them with a loving smile every morning to make sure they arrived in the building safely. On July 15, 2008, Tony and Jeanie Holder were united in marriage in Broken Bow, OK. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Idabel, OK.  

Tony enjoyed dancing, attending rodeos and Nascar (especially Dale Earnhardt Racing.) He adored his family and was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and Papa. Tony will be greatly missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nina Treat and one brother, Jody Treat.

Tony’s life will be forever cherished by his beloved wife, Jeanie, of the home; father, Wayne Treat of Broken Bow; children, Joe and Kayla Vaughn of Rogers, AR, Jennifer and J.R. Mixon of Idabel, OK, and Reese Vaughn of Roseburg, OR; granddaughters, Kyra Jones and Kate Vaughn; sisters, Katy and Rick Brown of Idabel, Ann and Bob Palmer of Hot Springs, AR, Joanie and James Cochnauer of Hugo, OK; brother, Jimmy and Anita Treat of Broken Bow, OK; and many friends and children in the area.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Watson Memorial Cemetery at the Oakhill Community.
