Viola Mae Bohanan, age 80, of Broken Bow, entered into eternal rest, on December 24, 2020, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
She was born October 29, 1940, in Idabel, OK, to Jim Obe, Sr. and Minerva Blueye Obe.
Viola was a lifetime resident of Broken Bow, who loved to camp and picnic. She enjoyed being with her family, going to Pow Wow’s, fishing, and singing. Viola was a Choctaw Singer and loved to minister to others through her singing. She also loved her grandkids and watching them play sports; very rarely missing one of their games. Her family will always remember her as a very loving woman, compassionate, Christian, Lord loving, lady. She never complained about anything and had a strong spirit.
Viola is preceded in death by her parents, Jim Sr. and Irene Obe Blueye and Minerva Blueye; her children, Larry Wayne Bohanan and Sharon Kay Bohanan; sister, Mary Ward; granddaughter, Rachelle Knicole Easlon.
She leaves to honor and cherish her memory, her children, Steve Bohanan, of Sobol, OK, Trish Bohanan Easlon and husband, Richard, of DeQueen, AR; brothers, Jim Obe, Jr., of Lawton, OK, Lawrence Obe, of Idabel, OK; sister, Verda Simmons, of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Tonia Wesley, Larry Bohanan, Jr., Stephanie Bohanan, Tiffanie Burchfield, Kisha Bohanan, Keegan Bohanan, Sequina Hunter, Trina Lester, Kelsie Easlon, and Terry Bohanan; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as, a host of other family and friends.
A viewing for family and friends will be from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday, December 28, 2020, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.
Graveside Services for Viola will be held on Tuesday, at 2:00 PM, at the Oka Achukma Cemetery, with Bro. Stanley Shomo officiating
