Virginia Bray-James

Virginia Bray-James entered her Heavenly home at the age of 71, on October 23, 2020.

She was born September 11, 1949 in Kinta, OK to parents, Doyle and Sevalow (Ward) Kious. Virginia was a dedicated church member and piano player at the Pine Top Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed her church family. She graduated from Dill City High in 1967. She was a Cosmetologist and salon owner for fifty plus years. She never met a stranger her bubbly personality was contagious, and she always had a beautiful smile. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed her flowers, studying her bible, writing music and playing the piano, collecting items and quoting scriptures. Most of all she adored her grandson and great-grandchildren. Christy was her pride and joy as well. Virginia and Weldon James were united in marriage on March 6, 2010 at Charity Baptist Church and shared ten wonderful years before his passing on September 27, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon James; first husband, Jerry Bray; parents, Doyle and Sevalow Kious; and sons, Jerry Bray, Jr, Joey Bray and Terry James; brothers, Dean and Bo.

Virginia leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Christy Towery and fiancé, Scott Ross of Broken Bow, OK, Kristi Webb of Moore, OK; sons, Russell Wright and his wife, Rhonda, of Colorodo, Stanley Bray and Jessie Bray of Texarkana, TX, Roger James and partner, Brenda Dodson of Houston, TX, and Lee Weldon James, Jr. of Louisiana; sisters, Arlena, Edna Faye, Katherine, and Linda; brother, James;  grandchildren, Josh James and wife, Kiym, Sarah James, Jessica Reece, Mason Towery and wife, Cali; great-grandchildren, Atticus and Atlas Towery, Cadence and Kylie James; and a host of other family and friends.
