Wanda Faye Jackson, 75, of Wright City passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 25, 1949 in DeQueen, AR to parents, Stanley and Wilma (Dewitt) Ussery.
Wanda and Leon Jackson shared fifty-five years of marriage before her passing.
Wanda was employed at Wright City School lunchroom for seventeen years. She missed seeing all of the students after her retirement. She loved her family dearly and was an avid fan of the grandchildren’s sporting events and won the fan of the year award. She was a big Kid Rock fan. She enjoyed the game show channel and going to the casino. Her favorite snack was a honey bun and dr. pepper. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Wilma Ussery.
Wanda is survived by her loving husband of fifty-five years, Leon Jackson of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Leah Young and Joe; son and daughter-in-law, Kent Jackson and Donna; brother, Wayne Ussery; sister, Kay Williams; grandchildren, Kara Cepko and husband, Scott, Wade Young, Lexie Harris and husband, Johnny; great-grandchildren, Jaden Harris, Tiara Harris, Asher Blackwell, Jaxi Harris and Bryson Harris; a host of other family and friends.
