Wanda Sue Caldwell Obituary

Wanda Sue Caldwell passed away on July 13, 2025, in McKinney, Texas. Born on May 6, 1962, in Valliant, Oklahoma, Wanda was a beacon of joy and strength throughout her 63 years of life.


Wanda's life was marked by her passion for the outdoors and the thrill of adventure. She loved going racing and riding horses, embracing the freedom and excitement these activities brought. Above all, Wanda cherished her family, finding her greatest joy in the time spent with her beloved grandchildren.


Preceded in death by her beloved parents, John Thomas Barker and Geneva Bernice (Parson) Barker, along with her siblings, Thomas Earl Barker, Cecil Ray Barker, Maryln May Barker, Charlotte Elise (Barker) Doshier, and Allene Faye (Barker) Walkup


Wanda's memory will be forever held in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her loving husband of forty-seven years, James Caldwell, of the home; son Johnny Caldwell and his wife Danielle, and daughter Brittany Washington and Tyler. She was the proud grandmother to Austin, Shalee, Kinsley, Kaden, Raden, Oakley, Ezlyn Caldwell, Aubri, Abral, Jason, Zara, and Emersyn Washington, and her great-grandchild, Honesty Renee Caldwell; brothers, Jack Barker of Broken Bow and Lawrence Barker of Blanchard, OK; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sheila Dean and John, Pam and Jimmy Perry, Missy and Charles Greenlee, Herman Lee and Alene Caldwell, and Kelly and Tammy Dozier. Wanda also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.


Memorial Services are set for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lewis Prewitt officiating.
