Our firm worked with Dr. Guthery for many years, and we represented him in attempting to protect his most creative ideas. He was a phenomenally gifted and innovative inventor. His contributions to the advancement of medical and technical fields will be missed.

Thoughtfully and with sincere condolences,

So sorry to hear of Gene passing away. He called me and left a message just a few days earlier. My phone was not ringing and I missed it. We were moving and I was going to call him back, but never had gotten to it. So sorry I didn't. He came into my drugstore in late 70's in Blue Springs, Mo. and we kept up our friendship. We worked on many products in the back of the drugstore,
and traveled to visit drug companies several times together. He had such a brilliant mind and some of his ideas were fantastic. My sympathy to all of his family and friends.

We were happy to know Eugene. He helped us at a time when we needed it, our son in law was dying with stage 4 stomach cancer, later died. Eugene was brilliant, just wish he had been able to finish his research!! It could have helped so many!!

Sympathy to all of Eugene's family. The Guthery family was a part of my life growing up, in the church and in school in Broken Bow. I have a treasured memory of Eugene and my brother Dan on our back porch, singing "An Unclouded Day".
God bless you all,
Charlton

So surprised and sorry to hear of Gene's passing. I met Gene when I first started practice in 1986. I told him I was out looking for office space and in Gene's typical fashion he offered to let me use his office space part time at no cost. We stayed in touch over all these years and I helped with a few of his products. I used to tell people about him and say that I knew the REAL "Dr House," brilliant but eccentric with such a goofy sense of humor! He was always so enthusiastic, rushing into my office saying "You have to see this, come on I'll teach you about it!"
As the song says "Only the good die young." I'll miss not hearing from him and wish his family the best.

So very sorry that a special man has passed away at such a young age. Our prayers and sympathy go out to all of you. Gene was always there for EVERYONE in our family with any of our medical needs and questions. We are forever grateful for his ability to diagnose and help during illnesses. He once sat up all night with our Grandma Johnson helping her when she was ill. He was a brilliant man. It's very unfortunate that he did not get to see some of his research come to fruition. God had another plan for Gene. Jeremiah 29:11 We know that he is resting in peace. Special sympathy to Ben, Grace, Esther and Jan. Love, Aunt Debbie Sue and Grandma Bonnie
