Theresa Carlotta Ward Neumann, 78, of Broken Bow, passed away, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family. Theresa was born on August 19, 1938 in Broken Bow, the daughter of Dewey and Alice Middaugh Ward. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Dwayne Neumann on February 2, 1957 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Theresa was a member of the First Baptist Church in Broken Bow where she was involved in helping in the nursery, being a Sunday school teacher and served as the Church treasurer. She worked at the Weyerhaeuser Craig Plant for 19 years and at Jimmy Tucker Trucking before her retirement in 2000. She enjoyed doing genealogy, puzzles, fishing, picking up crystal rocks, watching hummingbirds, taking care of her many flowers and spending time with her family. Throughout her battle with cancer, her faith in God remained strong. She never became angry or blamed him, she simply trusted him. Although cancer claimed her life, Jesus had her heart. She knew where she was going and could humbly claim Paul's words in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith". She is now forever free of pain.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Alice Ward.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her husband of 60 years, Robert Neumann of the home: son and daughter in law, Chris and Cindy Neumann of Amarillo, Texas; daughter, Kim Neumann of Broken Bow; four grand children, Chauncy Tipton of Little Rock, Arkansas, Skylar Morgan of Broken Bow, Mahala and Jacob Neumann of Amarillo, Texas and one great grandson, Jaxson; brother, Freddie Ward of DeQueen, Arkansas; nephew, Robert Ward and niece Tammy Smith; special cousins, Jean Rucker and Sharon Bristow and a host of special friends.
